The Development

Leaside Lock is proud to offer wheelchair adaptable homes in every block within our planned Phase 1. You can find our adaptable apartments by visiting our ‘Find an Apartment‘ section of our website and looking out for homes labelled as ‘Wheelchair Adaptable’. These units offer open plan kitchen/dining areas, remote controlled windows, underfloor heating and accessible switches/plug sockets. Each block of homes have lift access, level entry into the building and shared communal spaces.

The community we are building will also include workspaces, retail and leisure space and will enable us to participate in the delivery of a vibrant new neighbourhood.

The development at Bromley-by-Bow sits at the heart of the Greater London Authorities’ Stratford Opportunity Area. These new homes in Bromley-by-Bow, East London will form part of the most important regeneration schemes in East London since the Olympics.

Investment across the area is already underway, including support for the delivery of new schools and expansion of existing ones, the extension, and expansion of healthcare facilities, and new and improved access to the Lower Lea Valley.

Three Mills Island rests just behind Leaside Lock. With records dating back to 1086, these historic mills have made flour for bread, gunpowder for battles and gin for the city’s free houses. The tradition of local creativity lives on. The Three Mills studio today produces reels of iconic TV, film, music and theatre productions, which are shot moments away from Leaside Lock.

Inspired by this vivid past and the industrial red brick buildings so typical of the area, Leaside Lock features warm, clay facades. The palette is interspersed with towers of sage concrete that take influence from the mossy tones of the tidelines along the river’s edge.

Phase One has been designed by award-winning architects, Assael Architecture. These new additions to the skyline share a timeless, cohesive aesthetic with a strong family resemblance. At their centre, a tree-lined public square will create a bustling hub for pop-up markets, outdoor cinema screenings and connecting with neighbours.

lifestyle takes centre stage. Here, there’s something for everyone.

With plans for a convenience store downstairs, on-site Gym and café – the essentials are in hand. An energising workout in the gym^*** can be followed by a freshly roasted coffee in the café. Enjoy an afternoon drink on the roof terrace^†, available for all season use. For those who like to travel on two wheels there’s cycle storage available to residents on site.

Situated in London’s Zone 2 and opposite the underground station, journeys across London couldn’t be simpler – whether it’s to the City, Canary Wharf or the West End.
